Terms and Conditions

Recipe Circle is an online software service that lets users store, manage, and share recipes in private environments.
The service is provided as software as a service and is accessible worldwide.
Recipe Circle may change, expand, or limit the content and functionality of the service at any time.
The service is provided on a best-effort basis. No guarantees are given regarding error-free operation, availability, or continuity.

Using Recipe Circle requires a personal user account.
One user account can be created per email address.
A user can be a member of multiple environments and the owner of one or more environments.
The owner of an environment is responsible for managing that environment and the users linked to it.
Users are responsible for keeping their login credentials confidential and for all actions performed through their account.

Users may only use the service for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
It is not permitted to post content or perform actions that are unlawful, infringe third-party rights, or are harmful to other users or the service.
Users may not disrupt the operation of the service or attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or data.
Recipe Circle may take measures in case of misuse or violations of these terms, including limiting, suspending, or terminating access to the service.
Recipe Circle is not obliged to monitor the use of the service or user-posted content.

Users retain all rights to the content they post through the service.
By posting content, users grant Recipe Circle a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use that content for providing and technically operating the service.
Users are responsible for the content they post and warrant that they are entitled to do so.
Recipe Circle is not responsible for user-posted content and is not required to review it in advance.
Recipe Circle may remove or make content inaccessible if it violates these terms or the law.

Recipe Circle can currently be used for free per environment.
There is currently one edition with every feature included.
No payment details are required for the current free edition.
If Recipe Circle introduces paid plans again later, the terms and communication will be updated beforehand.

Recipe Circle strives for good availability of the service but does not guarantee that the service is available at all times.
Recipe Circle may temporarily take the service offline for maintenance, adjustments, or improvements.
Recipe Circle may change or discontinue the service and its related features.
Changes do not entitle users to compensation or refunds, insofar as permitted by law.

Users can terminate their account or environment at any time using the provided functionality.
Recipe Circle may terminate or suspend accounts or environments in case of violations of these terms, misuse, or legal obligations.
Upon termination, the right to access the service ends.
After termination, Recipe Circle may delete data, subject to legal retention obligations.

Recipe Circle is not liable for damages arising from the use of the service, unless the damage is the result of intent or gross negligence.
To the extent Recipe Circle is nevertheless liable, liability is limited to the amount paid by the user for the relevant subscription in the twelve months preceding the damage.
Liability for indirect damage, consequential damage, lost profit, or data loss is excluded, to the extent permitted by law.

Recipe Circle processes personal data in accordance with applicable law.
The processing of personal data is explained further in Recipe Circle’s privacy policy.
Users are responsible for the personal data they process and share via the service.

These terms and the use of the service are governed by Dutch law.
Disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Recipe Circle may amend these terms from time to time.
Amended terms will be announced via the service or by email.
The amended terms take effect at the announced time.
If a user continues to use the service after the effective date, this is deemed acceptance of the amended terms.

By creating an account, joining an environment, or creating an environment, the user accepts these terms.
If the user acts on behalf of an environment, the user declares they are authorized to accept these terms on behalf of that environment.
If the user does not agree to these terms, the service may not be used.
